  1. Some people prefer to do difficult tasks at first before finishing easy ones, while others prefer to do easy tasks before completing difficult ones. Which one do you prefer? Please use specific reasons and examples to support your response.

Personally speaking, I prefer to finish the easy tasks firstly and then the tough ones, because this way tends to be more efficient. After finishing the easy tasks, I may only have very limited unresolved difficult assignments left. I can turn to my friends or my teachers or my parents for help. They may give me the suggestion or even help me finish those unresolved ones, then my whole assignment will be done. However, if doing the difficult firstly, I might spend a lot of time doing them, even still unresolved at last. Consequently maybe there is no time for me to finish the easy ones. The whole assignment might be affected.

  2. Employees are not supposed to reply private messages or emails when they are in the working hours. Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Give your specific explanation in your response.

I definitely agree with the statement. The most important reason is that this choice may improve working efficiency and avoid disturbance. For example, if I were a marketing manager in my company, during working hours I should pay attention to things like how to better exploit the market, how to promote the sales and soon. However, if I constantly reply my private messages, such as where to eat after work, which movie I’d like to see with my friends. I can’t fully focus on my job and may not achieve the good result. There is no boss who would like to waste money on a lazy employee.

  3. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should not interrupt others when they are giving opinions. Please state your reasons.

Yeah, it’s definitely not okay to interrupt people when they’re talking. I mean, for me, if I’m talking and I’m telling a story or I’m making some kind of a point in an argument, I get really frustrated if people interrupt me. So if it’s frustrating for me, then I’m sure it’s frustrating for other people too. And therefore, I think we shouldn’t interrupt each other.

However, that’s only true generally. There’s still going to be sometimes when it’s okay to interrupt someone. I guess some examples would be if it’s a very informal conversation, it’s just two friends talking back and forth then it’s fine to interrupt someone. Or maybe if someone says something that’s obviously not true and you can disprove it, maybe it’s okay then. But generally, don’t interrupt.
