Once I read an article online titled How to keep fit. It said staying fit is a great bonus to life and can lead us to be a happy and healthier person. And the author introduced several helpful strategies that are illustrated with interesting pictures, which makes it pretty readable.
If I remember right, there are 3 things we need to do that are crucial to a healthy lifestyle: exercising, maintaining a balanced diet and gaining willpower and motivation. Actually most of the stuff in the article is common sense, like the things we can do to work out more, no matter it’s at home, at the gym or outside. And it suggests that we should come up with a plan and stick to it. Also, don’t compare ourselves to others and don’t let anyone bring us down. And we should have belief in ourselves that we can achieve whatever goal we have set.
But there’s one tip that I think is quite useful. It said it’s really important to avoid skipping meals. I used to think that I can lose weight by skipping lunch or dinner but that is inaccurate according to this article, ‘cause this decreases the speed of our metabolism and can result in losing the nutrition our body needs.
Personally I think this article is quite practical. The methods it introduced are very detailed, so it’s pretty easy to follow. And it’s really encouraging, that’s why I could remember it so well.
