Describe a businessman you admire. You should say:
Who this person is
What this person does
Why you find this person admirable
And explain how you think of this person
1.What kind of businesses are popular in your country?
2.If you had the opportunity, what kind of business would you like to do?
3.At what age do people retire in your country?
4.Do young people in your country prefer to open up their own business than find a job?
Speaking of a businessman I admire, the first name that comes to my mind is Jack Ma.
Ma is known to be the founder of a great Chinese company, Alibaba. I guess you may have heard about it before, the Chinese e-Bay, Taobao. Well, that is one of Alibaba’s greatest works. It is widely recognized as the most successful online shopping network in China. As you can tell, Ma is a pioneer in the field of online businesses. It is no exaggeration to say that he has changed the way Chinese people shop, along with their paying preferences. To be more precise, with Taobao in hand, one will not have to go to a store to buy whatever he needs. All he has to do is to log in Taobao with a cell phone, choose the product he wants, pay for it, and then, normally within 5 days, he will get the product delivered to him. And about the way how Chinese people pay, there is one application, also a product of Alibaba, I’d have to mention about. It is called Alipay, or Zhifubao in Chinese. Alipay is a third-party mobile and online payment platform, which overtook PayPal as the world's largest mobile payment platform back in 2013. Despite its powerful functioning in the field of online shopping, it still works as an important way of payment offline. For instance, when you go shopping in a store, you can still pay with Alipay. Here’s how it works. Open the application, show your personal payment QR code to the store owner, get it scanned by him/her, and the payment is done. That is to say, with Alipay, one won’t even need paper money to complete a deal in a store. Isn’t that amazing?
Well, given all that Jack Ma has done to improve people’s life quality, I’d say he’s someone worth my admiration.
In fact, when he first graduated from college, Ma got rejected by all 30 companies he tried to apply for. But these difficulties didn’t stop him from being one of the most successful businessmen in China.
