Describe a gift that you make it yourself and give it to others
You should say:
What it was
Who you gave it to
What it was like
And explain how you felt about it
The hand-made gift that I would like to talk about is a small but exquisite cake that I made for my father’s birthday. I remember that it was my father’s 50th birthday. I had been purchasing (过去完 成进行时：我以往一直在买) presents like a nicely-cut (优质剪裁) shirt or a silk tie online before. However, I thought I should probably do something different this time considering that the 50th birthday was a big thing so I decided to make a cake myself. With the help of some professional online pastry courses (在线专业糕点课程) and instructions from my friends who were cupcake enthusiasts, after three times of failure, finally, I succeeded at my fourth try! I created a really exquisite small cake! The cake was not large in size but I put a lot of effort and time into it. It was coated with white sweet cream and stuffed with strawberry, my father’s favorite fruit. I knew he had a sweet tooth (爱吃甜食) so I added extra sugar deliberately. The minute I presented this cake to my father, he nearly burst into tears. At first, my father took a small bite, finding that there were strawberries inside. He got so surprised that he said he would have finished it within five minutes (过去将来完成时：他在五分钟内就可以吃完) and he really did so! Looking at his satisfied face, I felt a really strong sense of achievement (强烈的成就感). I guess I will make other presents by myself in the future since they will be more meaningful and unforgettable.
