Describe an interesting part in your country
You should say：
What it is
How you know it
What it is famous for
And explain why it is interesting
OK, well, there are lots of places that I think are very interesting in my country. Today, though, I’m going to tell you about an interesting place near to where I live. I will explain where it is and how I got to know about it. I will try and describe what it looks like and explain why I think it is so interesting. I am lucky, although I live in the city, from my house I can walk to the outskirts (边缘) of the People’s Park, which is a beautiful park just a few miles from the city center. I got to know this place by accident(偶然地). The park can be a really wild place, with its vast expanses of open moorland(开放的沼泽地). There are strange stones that have been weathered by centuries of wind and rain to create dramatic shapes (富有戏剧性的形状;奇形怪状). Some boulders are in piles(成堆), and there are steep vertical cliffs(悬崖) too. The area attracts lots of people who like walking, climbing and it’s famous for its wild scenery. The park covers a huge area, I think around 500 square miles. I believe I live near the most remarkably beautiful (极其漂亮) part. I think it’s an interesting place because it helps me get closer to nature. If ever I am feeling down (心情不佳), or a bit enclosed(有点封闭), in just an hour’s walk I can find myself in a deserted(荒凉) but picturesque(风景如画) place. I could climb the huge strange stones and watch the birds of all kinds flying over my head. It was very captivating to find mushrooms under the big trees.
