Describe an important letter you received.
You should say:
who sent the letter
what it talk about
why it is important
and explain how you feel about it.
Last week my best friend Zhao went to the Niagara Falls and sent me a postcard. I know its not literally a letter, but it is quite important to me. The words were quite simple: “Hey, Howie. We have moved to Ontario. Come to us soon!”
The story began 5 years ago. Zhao was my best buddy in the university. We studied different major, so naturally in different academies. We met on the basketball court. That day, I saw Zhao, shyly standing outside the wire fence, watching us with a wanting face. (I am sorry but this is true.) So I went over to him and said, “come and join us.”
I thought that wasn’t a big thing: why would anyone just stay out of the court and watch? Just join us and have fun! And he did. Later I received a call from him, by that time I have totally no idea who this guy was, btw, inviting me for a dinner. We drank a lot and introduced ourselves, again. I got to know that he was shy because he had bully issues during his childhood. I told him he is now in a better place, no one would hurt him anymore and stuff. So long story short we became friends.
Upon our graduation, he received offer from a master program in Vancouver. I intended to apply for the same academy in the first place. But my beloved aunt Vivian was diagnosed with cancer. So I gave up my program and watched him fly away.
Well later my aunt was informed again that it was a false alarm. So after five years, this time, it is Zhao’s turn to say to me “come and join us”. I began to prepare anything again. So here I am, at the test centre(wink).
