A shop that just opened in your hometown
You should say:
Where the shop is
When it opened
What it sells
And how you feel about the shop
Last month, a new shopping center opened next to our community. People have been quite looking forward to this because the building has actually just gone through a restoration work.
The place used to be a big composite grocery store, like the open air market we could see in many eastern European countries. The main function was of course super-large grocery store where people buy fruit, vegetable, meet and other sorts of agricultural products. People liked the place because the price there is cheaper, but the problem is that the building, which is simply a huge shack topped with plastic ceilings, became quite aged. So the city council decided 10 months ago to rebuild the place and introduce a supermarket to our town.
Well the sellers were against the plan at first, but then they were guaranteed that they shall keep their stalls as soon as the reconstruction work is complete. Plus the investors of the supermarkets promised that they would definitely fill their stock with products from those farmers. So it was a win-win I guess.
Now the building is transformed into a three-story one, the upper level of which is the big supermarket. And the first floor is set aside for the grocery store households.
I think this newly built shop boosted local economy, plus the environment among grocery stores is better now. With better sewerage system and regular cleaning service. The grocery doesn't stinks anymore.
